Krzysztof Rewak and Karol Zygadło from Blumilk took part in the prestigious ICDMIR 2025 - International Conference on Data Mining and Intelligent Research, organized by Jan Wyżykowski University.
The event brought together researchers, engineers and experts in artificial intelligence, data science and data analysis.

Their presentations were based on research into the practical application of AI models in industry and automation:

1. AI Assistant for Craft Breweries: Heuristic and Embedding Models for Beer Recipe Recommendation
The presentation covered an intelligent assistant designed for craft breweries, created by our team.

2. Vision-Based Detection of Label Presence for Automated Quality Control
The second paper describes a computer vision system that uses image analysis models to automatically detect the presence of labels on products.

Publication in the Springer Series (Scopus)
The research results have been accepted for publication in the STEAM-H Springer Series (ISSN: 2520-193X; E-ISSN: 2520-1948), indexed in Scopus, Mathematical Reviews and zbMATH.
This is a significant distinction and a confirmation of the scientific quality of the research conducted at Blumilk.

Participating in ICDMIR 2025 is another step in combining academic research with real business practice. The KES International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems is one of the world’s most prestigious scientific events dedicated to artificial intelligence and intelligent systems. We are proud to announce that Krzysztof Rewak presented his first scientific paper titled “Optimizing batch fermentation scheduling in smart breweries with artificial intelligence methods” during the Industry Applications track.

Krzysztof’s presentation highlighted how artificial intelligence algorithms can support industrial development - from process optimization and more efficient resource utilization to improved flexibility and faster response to dynamic market conditions. We’ve welcomed Patryk Żurek and Piotr Szwedo, students from the Academic Technical High School in Legnica, who will be working with us over the next few weeks to gain real-world experience by contributing to a live project.

For our interns, this project is both a test of their current skills and an opportunity to explore technologies used in a professional software house.
Their responsibilities include:

• building backend features with Laravel,
• developing the user interface using React Native and TypeScript,
• implementing security-focused features such as data encryption, cloud synchronization and key management.

Supporting young talent at the very beginning of their career paths is more than just education - it’s an investment in the future of the tech industry. Internships are often where the first important career decisions are made and nothing beats hands-on experience with real code, real tools and real teamwork.
