Five years of Blumilk: How responsible digital transformation and AI drove our growth in 2025

2025 was a breakthrough year for Blumilk. It coincided with the company’s fifth anniversary and confirmed that our chosen direction of growth, built on responsible digital transformation, the practical application of artificial intelligence and strong scientific foundations - delivers tangible business results. Instead of publishing a traditional annual report filled with charts and statistics, we chose to tell a story about technology that works, scales globally and remains close to people and local communities.

The past twelve months have shown that Blumilk has matured into a trusted technology partner, supporting companies and institutions in their digital transformation journeys. Five years ago, we started as a small team in Legnica. By 2025, we were delivering software solutions for clients across Europe, developed by a team of nearly thirty specialists. While high software quality has always been our foundation, it is our approach to design grounded in a deep understanding of business processes, data, and organizational context - that has become Blumilk’s defining strength.

A key pillar of our activity in 2025 was the implementation of modern technologies for cities, industry and the SME sector. As part of the Urban Tech Hub initiative run by the Polish Development Fund, we presented a mobile application at Google for Startups in Warsaw that improves communication between local governments and residents. This project confirmed our expertise in GovTech and Smart City solutions, demonstrating how digital tools can effectively support civic dialogue, crisis response and information management at the local level.

The year 2025 was also a time of intensive knowledge sharing and building public trust in technology. As a business partner of the conference dedicated to artificial intelligence, digitalization and industry - AI, Digitalization, Industry: Shared Directions of Development” - Blumilk’s CEO, PhD Piotr Nadybski, presented concrete examples of AI implementations delivered by our team. His keynote highlighted a principle that consistently defines our approach to innovation: well-designed artificial intelligence is not an experiment, but a practical tool for solving real business problems. AI implemented without consideration for people, processes and organizational context remains a curiosity; only when embedded in real needs does it become a lasting element of a modern enterprise.

Our competencies in artificial intelligence were also strongly validated on a scientific level in 2025. Krzysztof Rewak and Karol Zygadło represented Blumilk at prestigious international conferences, including KES International 2025 (Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems) in Osaka and ICDMIR 2025 (International Conference on Data Mining and Intelligent Research), organized by Jan Wyżykowski University. Their research was accepted for publication in the renowned Springer series, indexed in Scopus. The scope of their work, including AI-based optimization of fermentation schedules in craft breweries and vision-based quality control systems for automatic label defect detection, demonstrates the direct industrial applicability of their research.

The year 2025 also strengthened Blumilk’s global presence. Through participation in the Going Global 4.0 economic missions organized by the Lower Silesian Marshal’s Office, we were active across three continents. We attended Web Summit in Vancouver and TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, showcasing Polish technological expertise in the heart of Silicon Valley. In Europe, we marked our presence at Web Summit in Lisbon, while South America became a new direction of exploration during our mission to Chile and participation in EtM Day 2025, where we assessed opportunities for international cooperation.

Global expansion went hand in hand with consistent local engagement. In 2025, we organized the third and fourth editions of the Legnicki Meetup Technologiczny, integrating the local IT community and creating a space for knowledge exchange. We also continued our internship programs for students of the Academic Technical School in Legnica and Collegium Witelona State University, involving young developers in real technology projects, including an application promoting local events and strengthening community ties.

Blumilk’s CEO, Phd Piotr Nadybski, actively participated in discussions on the future of Legnica, including the panel “What Will Legnica Be Like in the Future?” and the International Youth Forum, emphasizing the role of modern technologies in retaining young talent in the region. These activities were complemented by our partnership with the Legnica Special Economic Zone in organizing a conference focused on artificial intelligence and industry.

At the same time, we actively supported enterprises in their digital transformation processes through the Dig.IT program. We helped SMEs secure funding and implement ERP and MES systems as well as AI-based solutions. Our efforts focused on real business needs: process automation, data quality improvement, increased operational efficiency, and preparing organizations for further scalability.

We close 2025 with the conviction that every line of code, every implemented technology, and every international business conversation brings us closer to our goal: creating solutions that genuinely support the growth of companies and institutions. Blumilk consistently combines local commitment, global ambition, and scientific rigor—building technologies that not only address today’s business challenges but also shape the future directions of digital transformation.

Blumilk in Chile – participation in the Economic Mission during EtM Day 2025

After participating in economic missions in Canada, Spain, and Portugal, we are heading to another continent - this time to Chile, where we will take part in EtM Day, one of the most important technology and innovation conferences in South America.

This is already the last economic mission we are joining this year, once again organized by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, whose goal is to support the international growth of companies from the Lower Silesia region.

Chile is one of the fastest-growing countries in South America in the areas of technology, digital transformation and innovation ecosystems. The market is open to new tools, partnerships and projects that can increase the efficiency of public administration, business and sectors related to public services.

Our company will be represented on-site by the CEO & Co-Founder of Blumilk - Piotr Nadybski PhD, who will take part in discussions on international cooperation and the development of technology in South America.

A joint mission with the Marshal’s Office of Lower Silesia
We are delighted to once again represent Lower Silesia on the international stage together with other innovative companies from the region. Participation in such missions provides a real opportunity to build new business relationships, exchange knowledge and strengthen the global presence of the Lower Silesian IT sector.

If you plan to attend EtM Day – feel free to reach out!

Blumilk at the ICDMIR 2025 International Conference - Our research published in the Springer STEAM-H Series (Scopus)

Krzysztof Rewak and Karol Zygadło from Blumilk took part in the prestigious ICDMIR 2025 - International Conference on Data Mining and Intelligent Research, organized by Jan Wyżykowski University.
The event brought together researchers, engineers and experts in artificial intelligence, data science and data analysis.

Their presentations were based on research into the practical application of AI models in industry and automation:

1. AI Assistant for Craft Breweries: Heuristic and Embedding Models for Beer Recipe Recommendation
The presentation covered an intelligent assistant designed for craft breweries, created by our team.

2. Vision-Based Detection of Label Presence for Automated Quality Control
The second paper describes a computer vision system that uses image analysis models to automatically detect the presence of labels on products.

Publication in the Springer Series (Scopus)
The research results have been accepted for publication in the STEAM-H Springer Series (ISSN: 2520-193X; E-ISSN: 2520-1948), indexed in Scopus, Mathematical Reviews and zbMATH.
This is a significant distinction and a confirmation of the scientific quality of the research conducted at Blumilk.

Participating in ICDMIR 2025 is another step in combining academic research with real business practice. It demonstrates that the solutions developed at Blumilk are built on solid scientific foundations and have practical applications in automation, industrial quality control and industries requiring decision-support systems.
