On September 24, Collegium Witelona University in Legnica hosted a seminar focused on digital administration, data protection and cybersecurity.
The opening lecture was delivered by PhD Piotr Nadybski, Vice-Rector for Development at Collegium Witelona and CEO of Blumilk. In his presentation, “Where do our data live in the age of AI? Digital sovereignty as a new perspective on data protection,” he raised questions that are becoming increasingly important: Who controls our data? Where are they processed? And how much control do we have over the technologies we increasingly depend on?
In the age of AI, data protection is no longer only about security. It is also about control, technological independence and making informed choices about the infrastructure we rely on.
Digital sovereignty is therefore becoming a key challenge for organizations, public administration and anyone implementing AI-based solutions.
Because the question “Where is our data?” increasingly means: “Who is in control of it?”
Have you got an idea for a technological innovation in your company? That’s just the beginning. On September 22 in Złotoryja, PhD Piotr Nadybski, CEO & Co-founder of Blumilk, will talk about what happens between an idea and a working system and why technology implementations do not always go as planned.
Technology can streamline processes, reduce repetitive tasks, make employees’ work easier and open up completely new opportunities for a company. It is therefore no surprise that more and more businesses are looking for ways to leverage AI, automation and dedicated software solutions.
The real challenge often starts later.
An idea for a solution is not yet a working system. Between the two, there are numerous decisions to be made concerning user needs, project scope, data, integrations, security, technology and implementation. Along the way, it is also easy to lose sight of the most important question: does the solution actually address the business problem?
This is exactly the journey that PhD Piotr Nadybski will discuss during the next Dolnośląscy Liderzy Biznesu meeting.
Presentation topic:
“From an idea to a working system. How technology should support business and why it doesn’t always do so properly.”
The presentation will look at technology primarily from a business perspective. The goal is not to implement a system simply because a particular technology is available or has become popular. A well-designed solution should address a specific business need and fit the way an organization actually operates.
In practice, this means bringing together several perspectives - business, technology and user experience. Only then can an idea evolve into a solution that genuinely works in everyday operations.
At Blumilk, we work every day on solutions designed to address specific organizational challenges - from process automation and systems supporting employees to solutions powered by artificial intelligence.
That is why the presentation will also offer a practical look at what can go wrong on the way from an idea to implementation and what should be considered before a technology project gets underway.
Because the success of a solution is not determined solely by whether it has been built. What matters just as much is whether it actually works, is used by people and delivers the value the business expected.
The meeting will take place on September 22, at 10:00 AM at Hotel Gold in Złotoryja.
See you in Złotoryja!
Programmer’s Day is celebrated on September 13. It is no coincidence that it falls on this particular date - it is the 256th day of the year, and 256 is, of course, 2⁸ a number programmers know particularly well.
At Blumilk, however, we decided not to focus solely on numbers and code. As every year, Programmer’s Day was above all an opportunity to get together around one table. There were plenty of conversations, lots of laughter and for a moment, the only “problem” to solve was what to order.
Spending time together outside the office gives us a chance to simply enjoy each other’s company - without online meetings, tickets and messages like “can you just take a quick look at this…”.
Programmer’s Day is a good excuse to thank our developers for their knowledge, commitment, ideas and everyday work on solutions that help our clients grow their businesses.
And since 256 = 2⁸, we can only wish all programmers that the number of bugs in their code gets just as close to zero.
Happy Programmer’s Day!
