Blumilk at the KES International Conference in Barcelona

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used not only to analyse data, but also to connect information from multiple sources and draw meaningful insights from it. Krzysztof Rewak represented this area of research at the 20th International Conference on Agents and Multi-Agent Systems: Technologies and Applications (AMSTA-26) in Barcelona.

Krzysztof presented the paper “A Multi-Agent Framework for Probabilistic Batch-Level Quality Inference from Distributed Consumer Feedback”, exploring the use of multi-agent systems, probabilistic reasoning and distributed consumer feedback to assess production quality.

The idea? Instead of analysing individual reviews in isolation, the system can combine information from multiple sources and use it to infer the quality of a specific product batch.

This is another example of R&D work carried out at Blumilk, where AI, data analysis and modern approaches to system design are used to address real-world business and industrial challenges.

Two Blumilk research projects presented at DepCoS-RELCOMEX 2026

Real-world project experience, research and technology development came together at this year’s DepCoS-RELCOMEX conference. The Blumilk team presented two papers exploring how modern technologies can address real challenges in software distribution and industrial processes.

The first paper presented by PhD Piotr Nadybski “Reliable Software Distribution at Scale Using Containerized Delivery and Discrete Scheduling Optimization”, was based on experience gained during the development of a Blumilk project. Piotr Nadybski, Krzysztof Rewak, Karol Zygadło, Kamil Piech, Jacek Sawoszczuk and Ewelina Skrzypacz created an approach combining containerization, automation and scheduling optimization to improve large-scale software distribution. The solution achieved an 83% reduction in deployment times and near-elimination of license violations in a production environment.

This is a great example of how experience gained while solving real business challenges can turn into research, new approaches and knowledge shared with the wider technology community.

The second paper, “Dependable Resource Planning in Smart Breweries through a Digital Twin of Flexible Batch Fermentation Processes”, was presented by Krzysztof Rewak together with Andrzej Rusiecki. The research explores the use of digital twins and optimization methods to support resource planning in brewery fermentation processes.

Both papers were published by Springer in the volume “Dependable Computer Systems: Methods, Models, and Applications”, the proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Dependability of Computer Systems (DepCoS-RELCOMEX), held on 29 June-2 July 2026 in Brunów, Poland.

For Blumilk, it is another step in developing our R&D capabilities and combining software development, AI and optimization with real-world business and industrial challenges.

Programmer’s Day at Blumilk

Programmer’s Day is celebrated on September 13. It is no coincidence that it falls on this particular date - it is the 256th day of the year, and 256 is, of course, 2⁸ a number programmers know particularly well.

At Blumilk, however, we decided not to focus solely on numbers and code. As every year, Programmer’s Day was above all an opportunity to get together around one table. There were plenty of conversations, lots of laughter and for a moment, the only “problem” to solve was what to order.

Spending time together outside the office gives us a chance to simply enjoy each other’s company - without online meetings, tickets and messages like “can you just take a quick look at this…”.

Programmer’s Day is a good excuse to thank our developers for their knowledge, commitment, ideas and everyday work on solutions that help our clients grow their businesses.

And since 256 = 2⁸, we can only wish all programmers that the number of bugs in their code gets just as close to zero.
