Our news

We are happy to announce the return of Laravel Poland MeetUp! After a short break, we invite you to another edition of this unique event. This time, we are organizing MeetUp in cooperation with Amsterdam Standard, which will surely make this event even more interesting.

During the MeetUp, we will have the pleasure of listening to three presentations given by Laravel experts from all over the country. We will discuss both advanced techniques and news in the Laravel ecosystem, which will allow participants to expand their knowledge and skills in this popular framework.

More details about the program and how to register will be published soon.

See you on June 6 at Laravel Poland MeetUp!

We invite you to the next edition (already the 23rd!) of Laravel Poland MeetUp, during which our teammate, Marcin Tracz, will present a unique session on debugging PHP applications using xDebug.

This is already our eighth blumil presentation as part of Laravel Poland MeetUp!

In his over an hour-long presentation, Marcin will combine theory with practice, delving into the details of xDebug's operation, providing examples of its use and configuration in PHPStorm. This is an ideal opportunity for developers who want to improve the quality of their code and optimize the software development process.

What is the presentation about?

  • The basics of debugging in PHP and the role of xDebug.
  • Technical details that will help you better understand how the tool works.
  • Specific examples of xDebug use.
  • How to configure xDebug in PhpStorm.

Is this the perfect guide for developers?
Judge for yourself by watching the presentation!

In a moment, in a moment the summer stage of Laravel Poland MeetUp!
Fans of the Laravel framework and not only, we invite you to the first stationary edition of Laravel Poland MeetUp SUMMER VIBES in two years!

Date: August 4, 6:00 PM,
Location: HALA Świebodzki - bar & food court in Wrocław.

Event plan:

  • Integration - let's get to know each other better, talk about projects, exchange experiences and simply have a nice time.
  • Interesting lectures - our speakers will share knowledge about the latest trends and tools in the world of Laravel.
  • Quiz - the opportunity to test your programming knowledge in our special quiz.
  • Programming puns - how would you present lazy collections or Jetstream?

During the meetup, our CTO - Krzysztof Rewak, will invite you to a dialogue about what we don't like about Laravel. Infamous facades? Stiffening on the Laravel way? Inconsistent typing in code? Anti-opensource ecosystem or maybe something else? We count on an interesting and controversial discussion!

See you soon!

Programmers are usually generally aware of how the MIT license works. What should we do when we start including more libraries in our project, and each of them has a different license? Can we make money on such programs? Do we have to add the names of the creators of the dependencies used? Are we at risk of legal liability?

Joanna Rewak from the Legal Adviser's Office Joanna Rewak, a lawyer at Blumilk, will dispel any doubts about open source licenses using the Laravel framework and its popular dependencies as an example during Laravel Poland Meetup #22, on May 19, at 6:00 PM

Joanna will discuss the steps that need to be taken to ensure license compliance and avoid legal problems:

  • MIT License - using the MIT license and what are its limitations.
  • License diversity - How to deal with projects containing libraries with different licenses, such as GPL, Apache, BSD, and others.
  • Software commercialization - Can we make money on programs containing open source software and what conditions do we have to meet?
  • Copyright - When and how do we need to acknowledge the authors of dependencies used in our projects?
  • Legal risk - What are the potential consequences of violating open source licenses and how to avoid them?

See you on May 19, at 6:00 PM online or in person, in our office in Legnica.

We all know that applications created on Laravel easily handle HTTP requests. Just add one line in the router, create one class in the controller folder and it basically works. How does routing really work? What are middlewares? Why are form requests so convenient? How and why does the MeetupController::class string in api.php create an instance of the controller class?

These and other questions will be answered by our CTO - Krzysztof Rewak, during the 21st edition of Laravel Poland MeetUp, on March 10, at 6:00 p.m.

We invite everyone interested in Laravel. Regardless of the level of advancement, everyone will find something for themselves and gain valuable knowledge.
You can join us online, as well as meet us in person at our office in Legnica.

It's worth registering in advance, because places are limited ;) http://bit.ly/lpm21

See you there!

Just a moment, just a moment and we will celebrate the anniversary of our cooperation in creating Laravel Poland MeetUp! It was an amazing year full of interesting discussions and building a strong Laravel community in Poland.
Integrating together, both during online and offline meetings, is extremely important to us. During this year, we have met a lot of fantastic people with whom our paths will cross many times (we hope so).

We invite you to the anniversary edition of Laravel Poland Meetup #20, which will take place on November 25, at 6:00 p.m. The event will be in a hybrid form - you can join us online or meet us in person in our Legnica office.

This time, our teammate Kamil Piech will present a topic on authentication in Laravel. He will talk about Laravel Fortify, Laravel Sanctum, Laravel Breeze, Laravel Jetstream... Did we forget anything? There are several ways to authenticate in Laravel and it is worth knowing the differences between all the possible options.

We are happy to announce that for several meetings we have been involved in Laravel Poland Meetup not as a partner, but as a co-organizer! We are extremely pleased to participate in building this Laravel community.

Laravel Poland Meetup #19
The next Laravel meetup will take place on September 30! This time our speaker will be Jacek Sawoszczuk - a full-stack developer at Blumilk, who will tell (almost) everything about Tinker.

Tinker is an interactive console environment for Laravel that allows for quick experimentation with code in real time.

Using Tinker, developers can:

Quickly test code fragments:
Without having to run the entire application, you can test and debug individual functions and methods.
Interactively work with the database: Tinker allows direct interaction with the database, which is extremely useful when testing CRUD queries and operations.
Experiment with Eloquent models: Allows easy manipulation of data using Eloquent models without the need to create separate scripts.
