We are happy to announce that a strong team of students from the Wrocław School of Banking, Collegium Da Vinci and the Witelon State University of Applied Sciences in Legnica have joined our team, starting their internships. The students will work on an innovative project aimed at creating an application that helps other students find internships.

The project that our new interns are working on is an application aimed at facilitating the process of searching for internships for students. Thanks to it, young people will be able to quickly and effectively find suitable internships that match their interests and field of study. All in one place.

For students who have joined our team, internships at Blumilk are not only a chance to gain valuable professional experience, but also the opportunity to work on a real project that has the potential to have a positive impact on the academic community.

During their internship at Blumilk, students will:

Get to know modern technologies and tools: While working on the project, students will have the opportunity to get to know the latest technologies and programming tools, which will enrich their skills and prepare them for their future careers.

Develop team skills:
Working in a project team will teach them effective cooperation, communication and time management.

Receive support and mentoring: Our experienced programmers will watch over the students' progress, offering them support, advice and mentoring.

We believe that thanks to this cooperation, we will not only contribute to the development of their careers, but also create a valuable tool that will help many students in the future.

We keep our fingers crossed for our new colleagues and can't wait to see the effects of their work!

You may not know it about us, but we cooperate with the Witelon State University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Technical and Economic Science in Legnica. Our cooperation includes various initiatives that benefit the university, the students and our company.

Work experience: We run an apprenticeship programme so that students of IT can gain practical experience and see what the work of a programmer looks like from behind the scenes. We can confidently boast that some of our apprentices continue to work with us on a full-time basis. By working with the university, we have access to talented and well-educated young people who strengthen our team.

‘I spent three months interning at Blumilk and it was an amazing experience for me. I worked in a team with other developers and felt that I was making a real contribution to the company. The staff were very open and always willing to share their knowledge. I am very happy that I got a job after this internship.’

- Dawid Rudnik, apprentice 2021, currently programmer powering the Blumilk team.

Qualified project team: part of our team works as lecturers and academics, sharing their knowledge and experience with future professionals. This gives students access to current trends and best practices in the IT industry.

The participation of our employees in academic life, allows us to keep abreast of the latest scientific developments and innovations that we can implement in our projects. We believe that investing in the education and development of young talent is the best way to build a strong and innovative technology community.

We invite you to follow our activities and join our initiatives. Together we can achieve more!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of watching the eighteenth Laravel Poland MeetUp. This time, both on-screen and right outside the walls of our Legnica office, we hosted Marcin Tracz – an experienced PHP+Laravel developer and an academic teacher at the Faculty of Technical and Economic Sciences at Witelon State University in Legnica. Marcin discussed the speed of Laravel Octane and how to use Laravel in tandem with Swoole. We hope we weren't too loud in the background! ;)

During the presentation, key advantages of Laravel Octane were covered, such as:

  • Increased performance through application startup optimization.
  • Persistent connections enabling faster server response times.
  • Integration with Swoole and RoadRunner, allowing for even better resource utilization.

The speech by Marcin sparked numerous questions and discussions, highlighting how important and engaging the topics were. For us, as a partner of Laravel Poland MeetUp, it’s another proof of the value of sharing knowledge.

Thank you to all participants for your active involvement.
See you at the next meetups, both online and – we hope – in pubs!

We are proud to announce that we have become a partner of Laravel Poland MeetUp!
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to become even more involved in the growth of the Polish Laravel community, share knowledge and experience, and inspire others to explore new technologies.

On March 29th, at 6:00 PM, we invite everyone to join Laravel Poland MeetUp #17, where our developer Mateusz will demonstrate how to use Laravel Livewire.

This innovative framework allows building frontend components without the need to directly interact with JavaScript. During the presentation, Mateusz will explore whether such an approach can succeed in a world dominated by JavaScript.

We hope to see you there in large numbers! See you soon!

We love to sharing knowledge and exploring new technologies that spark our interest. Some time ago, we decided that every month a member of our team would present a topic they are most interested in or challenged by at the moment, so we can all learn from each other. These meetups aim not only to expand our knowledge but also to strengthen team collaboration and inspire us to seek innovative solutions.

All team members who want to deepen their knowledge, share their experiences, or showcase new technologies participate in these meetups. So far, we have discussed topics like Traefik, Livewire, and Laravel Nova, and many more presentations are in the works. All of our past sessions can be found on our GitHub: Blumilk GitHub.

Last Friday, our talented developer Magda gave a presentation on implementing machine learning in PHP using the Rubix ML library. One of the key questions that came up during the discussion was: Is it worth using other programming languages for machine learning if Python is so dominant in this field?

More meetups are already scheduled! :)
