Our news

Exactly one year ago, on October 27, 2020, our blue cocktail – Blumilk – was created. A cocktail that combines enthusiasts, specialists and IT experts. It was a year full of challenges, dynamic development and shared successes. We are glad that as a software house from Legnica, we can dispel the myth of small towns every day and be a technological part of their development.

We are proud of what we have achieved during our year of activity and we look forward to the future, because there will be a lot going on!

Today we are celebrating in Blumilk style. There is a blue cake, blue champagne, a helium-inflated number one (also blue!), a bit of singing and the obligatory office photo.

Thank you to everyone who was with us throughout this year.
Celebrate with us!

Stay tuned… Tomorrow we will announce great news!

Just a moment, just a moment and we will celebrate the anniversary of our cooperation in creating Laravel Poland MeetUp! It was an amazing year full of interesting discussions and building a strong Laravel community in Poland.
Integrating together, both during online and offline meetings, is extremely important to us. During this year, we have met a lot of fantastic people with whom our paths will cross many times (we hope so).

We invite you to the anniversary edition of Laravel Poland Meetup #20, which will take place on November 25, at 6:00 p.m. The event will be in a hybrid form - you can join us online or meet us in person in our Legnica office.

This time, our teammate Kamil Piech will present a topic on authentication in Laravel. He will talk about Laravel Fortify, Laravel Sanctum, Laravel Breeze, Laravel Jetstream... Did we forget anything? There are several ways to authenticate in Laravel and it is worth knowing the differences between all the possible options.

Is this our first official company integration? Maybe, but definitely not the last!

Integration trips are an important part of our company's life. They not only provide entertainment, but also strengthen our team, building friendships and mutual trust. We are proud of our team and we are looking forward to the next integration adventures. Each of us likes something different - some are fans of extreme sports, others prefer quiet walks in the bosom of nature, and still others immerse themselves in the world of technology and video games. Despite these differences, integrating together is extremely important to us. Such trips allow us to get to know each other better, understand each other and enjoy the time spent together.

Blumilk's first birthday
In just a few days, we will celebrate Blumilk's first birthday!
This is a special moment for us, which we plan to celebrate just as grandly. We are looking forward to the next moments together that will strengthen our company community.

October has begun, and so has #Hacktoberfest! At Blumilk, we are excited to participate in this annual initiative that brings together developers from all over the world to support open source projects.

What is Hacktoberfest?
Hacktoberfest is an annual initiative organized by DigitalOcean in partnership with GitHub. The goal is to encourage developers to actively participate in open source projects by submitting pull requests (PRs). Whether you are working on popular frameworks, interesting libraries, or hobby projects, all contributions are welcome.

Blumilk and Hacktoberfest
At Blumilk, we value open source initiatives and are always looking for ways to grow our developer community. As part of Hacktoberfest, we have attached the tag to several of our repositories to make it easier for you to find projects to work on. This way, we want to encourage as many people as possible to participate and create valuable solutions together.

We are happy to announce that for several meetings we have been involved in Laravel Poland Meetup not as a partner, but as a co-organizer! We are extremely pleased to participate in building this Laravel community.

Laravel Poland Meetup #19
The next Laravel meetup will take place on September 30! This time our speaker will be Jacek Sawoszczuk - a full-stack developer at Blumilk, who will tell (almost) everything about Tinker.

Tinker is an interactive console environment for Laravel that allows for quick experimentation with code in real time.

Using Tinker, developers can:

Quickly test code fragments:
Without having to run the entire application, you can test and debug individual functions and methods.
Interactively work with the database: Tinker allows direct interaction with the database, which is extremely useful when testing CRUD queries and operations.
Experiment with Eloquent models: Allows easy manipulation of data using Eloquent models without the need to create separate scripts.

We are happy to announce that a strong team of students from the Wrocław School of Banking, Collegium Da Vinci and the Witelon State University of Applied Sciences in Legnica have joined our team, starting their internships. The students will work on an innovative project aimed at creating an application that helps other students find internships.

The project that our new interns are working on is an application aimed at facilitating the process of searching for internships for students. Thanks to it, young people will be able to quickly and effectively find suitable internships that match their interests and field of study. All in one place.

For students who have joined our team, internships at Blumilk are not only a chance to gain valuable professional experience, but also the opportunity to work on a real project that has the potential to have a positive impact on the academic community.

During their internship at Blumilk, students will:

Get to know modern technologies and tools: While working on the project, students will have the opportunity to get to know the latest technologies and programming tools, which will enrich their skills and prepare them for their future careers.

Develop team skills:
Working in a project team will teach them effective cooperation, communication and time management.

Receive support and mentoring: Our experienced programmers will watch over the students' progress, offering them support, advice and mentoring.

We believe that thanks to this cooperation, we will not only contribute to the development of their careers, but also create a valuable tool that will help many students in the future.

We keep our fingers crossed for our new colleagues and can't wait to see the effects of their work!
