Our news

Our June integration trip, despite encountering a few challenges, turned out to be a huge success! The weather may not have been perfect, not everyone managed to make it, and we had to adjust the event plan on the fly, but it was great fun!

We also had the opportunity to visit a Mongolian yurt, which was an interesting experience. There was no shortage of laughter!

Although we came back exhausted and sore, we are filled with positive energy for the coming months. The integration moments spent together will definitely contribute to even better cooperation in our team.

We would like to thank everyone who took part and made this trip unforgettable!

We are happy to announce the return of Laravel Poland MeetUp! After a short break, we invite you to another edition of this unique event. This time, we are organizing MeetUp in cooperation with Amsterdam Standard, which will surely make this event even more interesting.

During the MeetUp, we will have the pleasure of listening to three presentations given by Laravel experts from all over the country. We will discuss both advanced techniques and news in the Laravel ecosystem, which will allow participants to expand their knowledge and skills in this popular framework.

More details about the program and how to register will be published soon.

Follow our news to stay up to date with information about the event.
See you on June 6 at Laravel Poland MeetUp!

At Blumilk, we constantly take care of the quality of our code from the first day of each project. In our daily work, we realize that manually correcting syntax or style errors is time-consuming and ineffective. That's why we use the reliable PHP-CS-Fixer library, which we have adapted to our needs.

Our own version of the library, wrapped in a unique set of rules, helps maintain a consistent programming style across projects. Automatic correction of the most common syntax and style errors makes code review much easier for us, saving valuable time.

We are excited that we are approaching 10,000 downloads of our library from Packagista!

We have just published version 2.1.0, which is already the 32nd release. We use it in over 80 repositories, which confirms its effectiveness and popularity.

The summer semester 2022/23 at The Witelon Collegium State University is just beginning and with it student internships at Blumilk.

After the success of previous editions, in which young and ambitious students gained valuable experience, we decided to continue our mission of supporting future professionals in the IT industry.

So far, we have organized several editions of internships, during which a dozen or so people could see what the daily work of a programmer looks like in practice. Many of these people, thanks to the experience they gained, found employment in the IT industry, and some of them joined our team permanently.

This year, we are planning even more interesting projects, which our experienced software engineers will work on. Students will take part in various tasks, which include IT project planning, work management, using the latest technologies, application testing automation and implementing IT systems in various environments.

We encourage everyone interested to apply!

We are proud to announce that our team consisting of Mateusz Lencki, Kamil Piech, Krzysztof Rewak and Marcin Tracz took first place in the CuValley Hack hackathon organized by KGHM Centrum Analityki and KGHM in the category "Safe mobile application for data aggregation".

During several hours of hard work, finished late at night, we built a Laravel backend that connects to a dozen or so external services.

Our application highlights data regarding, among others:

  • metal prices,
  • stocks and stock market indices,
  • currency rates,
  • gas and electricity prices,
  • news from the mining world,
  • current and financial reports of the KGHM company,
  • shareholder structure.

We programmed the client layer in Flutter, which allowed us to create an efficient and intuitive mobile application.

We would like to thank the esteemed jury for appreciating our solution. We are glad that we could show our skills in practice.

A time of joy, the smell of deliciousness, a moment of respite and recharging the batteries. Together with Blumilk partners and friends, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What did this year bring us?

  • Our team has grown, as you can see in the attached picture. New members have brought a lot of energy, ideas and talents, which we are developing together.
  •  We have delivered several great projects, and we have also started new ones, which we will soon tell you about on our website.
  • We have learned a lot - technically, business-wise, design-wise and managerially. Each day brought new challenges, which we enthusiastically took on.

We are entering the New Year with great optimism and we cannot wait to continue our mission, develop and implement more exciting projects.

We invite you to the next edition (already the 23rd!) of Laravel Poland MeetUp, during which our teammate, Marcin Tracz, will present a unique session on debugging PHP applications using xDebug.

This is already our eighth blumil presentation as part of Laravel Poland MeetUp!

In his over an hour-long presentation, Marcin will combine theory with practice, delving into the details of xDebug's operation, providing examples of its use and configuration in PHPStorm. This is an ideal opportunity for developers who want to improve the quality of their code and optimize the software development process.

What is the presentation about?

  • The basics of debugging in PHP and the role of xDebug.
  • Technical details that will help you better understand how the tool works.
  • Specific examples of xDebug use.
  • How to configure xDebug in PhpStorm.

Is this the perfect guide for developers?
Judge for yourself by watching the presentation!
